College of Nursing Celebrates its Graduates

On May 1, more than 280 College of Nursing graduates were recognized by family, friends, faculty and administration for their successful completion of the nursing program. The Commencement Ceremony was held in packed house at the Curtis M. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in Gainesville.

The Commencement Ceremony is held every spring to celebrate the graduates entering the next phase of their lives. This year’s ceremony was a special occasion for the faculty, staff and most especially our graduates and their families. In addition, former professor Andrea Gregg was recognized for earning emeritus status.

Over 20 graduates received awards in areas such as academic and clinical excellence. In addition, the College’s Alumnus of the Year Award was presented to T. Mark Jones (BSN 1995) and our Preceptor of the Year was presented to Pamela Dulin, (BSN 1971, MSN 1988).
