Teaching

Ms. Weber provides clinical nursing education in adult health at the University of Florida and the Malcolm Randall Veteran’s hospital. She also provides mentoring and educational sessions for new RN graduates working in the VA Nursing Academy nurse residency program. Prior to locating to Gainesville, she was full-time faculty at the Denver School of Nursing in Denver Colorado teaching didactic courses in Medical-Surgical and Professional Nursing.

Service

Ms. Weber has been a member of organizations such as NNSDO (national nurses in staff development), the National organization of Clinical Nurse Specialists, and is a current member of the American Nurses Association. She has participated in local activities to support organizations such as the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and the VA Fisher House.

Area of expertise

Ms. Weber obtained her certification as a Medical-Surgical nurse in 1991. Her background also includes working as a nursing unit manager, a Medical-Surgical Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) and a hospital Director of Education in the Denver, Colorado area. Ms. Weber’s career allowed her the opportunity to develop competency and education programs for staff and new graduate nurses in the acute care setting. She enjoys clinical education, fostering professional nursing practice, and working with adult and elderly clients.

Education

Ms. Weber received her BS in Nursing from the University of Colorado School of Nursing in 1985, and her MS in Nursing also from the University of Colorado in 1996.
