Teaching
Dr. Ahn teaches both didactic and clinical courses for undergraduate and graduate students.
Research
Dr. Ahn’s research interests focus on management of pain and behavioral symptoms in cognitively-impaired individuals, large-scale longitudinal data analysis, meta analysis, and technology development to improve clinical outcomes. He examined the effect of pain on disruptive behaviors among nursing home residents as a PI using a research grant from Sigma Theta Tau Alpha Theta Chapter.
Service
Dr. Ahn is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Gerontological Society of America, and Southern Nursing Research Society. He has been the recipient of the University of Florida Alumni Fellowship, Awards for Excellence in Scholarship from Sigma Theta Tau Alpha Theta Chapter, and Outstanding PhD Student Award from University of Florida College of Nursing. He is a College of Nursing Faculty Representative and a member of the University of Florida Health Science Center Student Conduct Committee.

Dr. Ahn is nationally certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.
Education
Dr. Ahn received his BS in Nursing, MS in Adult and Elderly Nursing, and PhD in Nursing from the University of Florida. He also received BE in Electrical Engineering from the University of Seoul, South Korea, and MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Florida.
