Dr. Leary teaches both didactic and clinical courses in the accelerated second degree BSN program in the area of Community and Public Health. She additionally arranges community clinical experiences for 40 students at UF Health Jacksonville.
Dr. Leary’s research experience has included access to STD services, and student centered learning. She is currently working with another faculty member on team based learning outcomes and student satisfaction.
Dr. Leary is currently a member of the Women’s Giving Alliance in Jacksonville, grant-making organization that promotes the interest of women and girls in the five county Northeast Florida area. Leary serves on the Impact Team, which measures outcomes of both the grantees and the process of grant making. She is additionally a volunteer reader for the grant applicants. Dr. Leary has additionally worked on the health section of the website providing current information about the status of women and girls in Northeast Florida.
