Teaching

Professor Harvey teaches undergraduate clinical lab skills and is a clinical instructor at Shands at the University of Florida on a surgical unit with the generic and accelerated students in the BSN program.

Research

Professor Harvey is participating in various projects to improve clinical/patient outcomes on the surgical unit, in which she works as a Clinical Nurse Leader at Shands at UF.

Service

Professor Harvey is a member of the UTI Committee at Shands at UF, the Comprehensive Unit-Based Safety Program, and the Post-Operative Respiratory Failure Committee.

Area of expertise

Her clinical expertise is in adult Medical-Surgical and Surgical Intensive Care Nursing.

Education

Professor Harvey received her BS in Nursing from the University of Florida College of Nursing in 2008. She received her MSN from UF in 2010, and she earned her Clinical Nurse Leader Certification in 2010.
