Linda Haddad, PhD, RN, FAAN, is the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and comes to UF with a wealth of expertise in nursing education and curriculum development. Most recently she served as an associate professor of community health nursing at Virginia Commonwealth University. A native of Jordan, she has also had extensive experience with international health initiatives by consulting and working on projects to help train medical professionals and improve community health in the Middle East. She also served as Dean over the Faculty of Nursing at the Jordan University of Science and Technology. Her research focuses on tobacco cessation, and her background is in community and public health nursing.
She received her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing from the University of Maryland in Baltimore, her master’s degree in nursing science from the University of Pennsylvania and her bachelor of science in nursing from Jordan University in Amman, Jordan.
