The UF College of Nursing is the oldest baccalaureate and graduate degree program in Florida and among the most respected nursing programs in the nation. Founded with a commitment to pioneering and innovative nursing education approaches, the College's programs now reach far beyond the boundaries of traditional classroom walls. The College has more than 700 students and 80 faculty members on two campuses, with technology expanding our student body around the state through distance learning and web-based curricula.
The College of Nursing offers options for baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral studies in nursing. As a member of a truly interdisciplinary health science center with five other health discipline colleges, nursing students have the opportunity to experience all that health care has to offer, through education, research and practice.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): Our undergraduate nursing degree is offered in both generic and accelerated formats.
- Academic Learning Compact
- Generic BSN: Generic BSN curriculum for upper division UF students and transfer students
- Accelerated BSN : A fast-track accelerated BSN curriculum for students with non-nursing bachelor's degrees
- Master of Science in Nursing: Program to prepare advanced practice nurses in clinical tracks in acute care, adult, family and pediatric specialties, as well as the clinical nurse leader generalist track. All tracks are also available for Postmaster's study
- Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree: Practice doctorate for those desiring advanced clinical degrees in clinical nursing.
- Nursing Education Certificate Program: 14 credit certificate program designed to provide knowledge and skills in teaching baccalaureate and higher degree nursing
- BSN to PhD: Accelerated program to allow motivated BSN students to receive their MSN and PhD in Nursing Science at a faster pace.
- PhD: PhD in Nursing Science program prepares scientists, scholars and leaders in nursing. Comprehensive research preparation with one of the strongest cores of nursing research faculty in Florida.
- North Florida PhD Consortium: UF PhD in Nursing Science program offered via distance education at Florida A&M University , Florida State University, University of North Florida and a pending agreement with the University of West Florida.
