The purpose of the Honors Program is to provide a unique and challenging experience for traditional BSN students who have exhibited exceptional academic ability and to recognize with academic excellence. The University of Florida requires that students participate in a University-approved Honors program in order to graduate with honors.
Senior BSN students with a College of Nursing GPA of 3.7 may apply for the Honors Program. The Honors Program provides opportunity to complete a thesis, project, quality improvement project or educational module in association with faculty mentors. An honors seminars course is required. The presentation of an honors project and a final GPA commensurate with University guidelines are required for graduating with honors.
Applications for the Honors Program are due at the end of the spring semester of the junior year. Specific dates will be posted and announced. It is anticipated that an online form will be posted.
