PhD student, Cassandre Jean-Antoine, was selected as the recipient of the LYNNE EDWARDS RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIP. The scholarship is sponsored by Dr. Linda Burnes-Bolton, past President of the National Black Nurses Association. The scholarship is based on scholastic achievement and leadership for those pursuing a PhD in Nursing. Cassandre’s research interest explores the attributes of minority nurse executives in hospital settings.
Dr. Burnes-Bolton is a trustee of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the vice-chair of the IOM Committee on the Future of Nursing, and Vice-President for Nursing and Chief Nursing Officer at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
