Two UFCON alumni were Nightingale Award recipients

The year 2020 has appropriately been deemed the “Year of the Nurse”, honoring the 200th anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth, and recognizing nursing’s commitment to improving the health and wellness of patients all over the world. As we continue to acknowledge the leadership, excellence, and innovations in nursing, UF Health just announced this year’s overall Nightingale Award recipients.

It is an honor to congratulate two UF College of Nursing alumni who were recognized for their impact as nurses in the UF Health organization:

  • Amber Bart (BSN ‘16 and DNP ‘20) – Rose Rivers Award for Excellence in Nursing Research
  • Courtney Suggs (BSN ‘13) – Quality Award for Exemplary Clinical Practice
