Angela Godwin Beoku-Betts honored as outstanding young alumni

Gator Nurse Angela Godwin Beoku-Betts (BSN ’04) was one of 40 University of Florida alumni who received this year’s Outstanding Young Alumni Award. Beoku-Betts currently lives in New York, where she is a clinical assistant professor at NYU.

Q: What is your career point of pride?
A: “The numerous nursing students I have mentored and instructed over the years that are now RN’s touching and saving lives.”

Q: What’s one piece of life advice you’d give to all UF students?
A: “Time is more valuable than you know. It goes by quickly and reveals all truths; use it wisely.”
