We would like to recognize Gator Nurse Carolyn Adams (BSN 1972, MSN 1973), who was one of the first African American students invited to attend the University of Florida. After graduating, she established the Estella Byrd Whitman Wellness and Community Resource Center to provide much-needed health care underserved and uninsured in Ocala.
