On May 1, Sandra Citty was in Washington D.C., receiving the prestigious 2024 Secretary of Veterans Affairs Award for Excellence in Nursing in the Nurse/Expanded Role category.
Citty’s remarkable contributions at the Gainesville Geriatric Research, Education, and Clinical Centers within the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System have advanced the fields of nursing and Veteran healthcare. The award, one of only six awarded in the nation, recognizes individuals whose contributions to patient care demonstrate exceptional excellence and innovation.
