Ann Horgas Appointed Executive Associate Dean

The University of Florida College of Nursing is pleased to announce the appointment of Ann Horgas, PhD, RN, FGSA, FAAN, to the position of executive associate dean.

Horgas, who has served as the interim executive associate dean since February, has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication to advancing the college’s mission.

“I am thrilled to welcome Dr. Ann Horgas to her permanent role,” said Dean Shakira Henderson, PhD, DNP, MS, MPH, EMBA, IBCLC, RNC-NIC. “Her leadership, commitment to excellence, and unwavering passion for nursing education have significantly impacted the College of Nursing. Dr. Horgas has been an integral part of our team, and I look forward to continuing to work closely with her as we move forward in shaping the future of nursing education and research.”

Horgas has a distinguished career in nursing, with extensive experience in both clinical research and academic settings. As executive associate dean, she will continue to support the college’s strategic goals, including enhancing faculty development, advancing research, and fostering a collaborative learning environment for students.
