The 2026 Gator100 list, featuring some of the fastest-growing businesses led by University of Florida alumni, included companies headed by UF College of Nursing graduates, highlighting the college’s expanding influence in entrepreneurship and health care innovation.

Established more than a decade ago by the UF Alumni Association, the Gator100 recognizes outstanding business growth and leadership among UF graduates. The 2026 rankings were announced during a celebration at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.

This year, the College of Nursing was represented by RN Enterprises Infusion Services and New Horizon Primary Care, marking another strong showing for Gator Nurse entrepreneurs.

No. 25 – RN Enterprises Infusion Services, Inc.

Founded by Rodney G.B. Clements (BSN 1996), RN Enterprises continues its upward trajectory, breaking into the top 20. The company partners with local, regional, state and national pharmacies to deliver home infusion therapy, supported by a network of more than 600 experienced infusion nurses across 40 states.

A former medical officer in the Nurse Corps for the U.S. Navy and Marines, Clements focused on pediatrics and emergency medicine before specializing in infusion therapy. Recognizing a need for qualified home infusion nurses, he founded RN Enterprises in 2018. Based in Jacksonville, he serves as CEO and president.

This is the third straight year he has made the Gator100.

No. 32 – New Horizon Primary Care

Monica Barfield (DNP 2022), founder of New Horizon Primary Care, was the first nurse practitioner in Florida to open an autonomous NP-led primary care practice, expanding access to care in rural communities.

Barfield’s work extends beyond clinical practice. A recognized leader in health care policy, she has played an active role in drafting and advancing legislation to expand nurse practitioner practice authority in Florida. In 2025, she received the Florida Nurses Association’s Barbara Lumpkin Award for her contributions to the profession.

This is her first time included on the Gator100.

Together, these alumni exemplify the growing impact of Gator Nurses not only in patient care, but also in business leadership and health care transformation.
