Orange and blue filled the halls of the University of Florida College of Nursing on May 11 as faculty and staff celebrated the inaugural Gator Nurses Day during National Nurses Week.
Wearing Gator Nurses Day T-shirts, members of the college gathered for photos, shared laughs in the lobby and took part in a celebration centered on pride in the nursing profession and the people who carry the Gator Nurse name into hospitals, clinics, classrooms and communities across Florida and beyond.
The inaugural event served as both a celebration and a reflection of the impact Gator Nurses have on all facets of health care.
The event included group photos as faculty and staff gathered to showcase their Gator Nurse pride. The atmosphere was upbeat and celebratory.
Held during National Nurses Week, the celebration also highlighted the broader impact of the nursing profession and the College of Nursing’s role in preparing future nurse leaders while advancing research, education and patient care.
