jodi irving
Jodi Irving, professor emeritus at the University of Florida College of Nursing, joined the faculty in 1965 and taught generations of nursing students. A specialist in psychiatric-mental health nursing, she also helped document the college’s history by establishing a permanent archive and supporting the College of Nursing History Fund. She retired from full-time teaching in 2011 but has continued mentoring students and teaching in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program.

Dr. Jo Snider
Jodi Snider, professor emeritus at the University of Florida College of Nursing, taught for more than 40 years before retiring in 2014. A specialist in psychiatric-mental health nursing and nursing education, she taught more than 6,000 undergraduate and graduate students and served as chair of the Department of Health Care Environments and Systems. Known for her teaching, Snider was repeatedly recognized by students, earning multiple “Outstanding Faculty Member” and “Teacher of the Year” awards. She continues to contribute to the college by teaching part time in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program and mentoring students.
