About Marisa J Belote
Dr. Belote has extensive experience in online, didactic, simulation and lab instruction of nursing students, as well as students within the areas of Pharmacy, Medicine, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy and Public Health. She has authored and facilitated interprofessional experiences for students in the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Services, Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Athletic Training. Dr. Belote teaches in the online R.N.-to-B.S.N. program at the College of Nursing.
Dr. Belote’s research interest is in simulation debriefing and the effect on clinical performance.
Dr. Belote is a member of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, the Association of Standardized Patient Educators and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Society. She is active in assisting nurses obtain board positions through the Florida Center for Nursing – Florida Action Coalition as mentor for Board Service Initiative Class Graduates. Dr. Belote has also served as faculty advisor for many nursing student organizations with the goal of mentoring students to serve in professional organizations after graduation.
