Christina M Bricker

Christina Bricker, PhD, APRN, FNP-BC, CNE, FAHA is a nurse educator, clinician, and researcher with more than 20 years of experience advancing graduate nursing education, clinical practice, and scholarship. A board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Fellow of the American Heart Association, Dr. Bricker serves as Clinical Associate Professor and FNP-DNP Specialty Director at the University of Florida College of Nursing.

As an academic leader, Dr. Bricker oversees curriculum development, program implementation, and student success initiatives for the FNP-DNP specialty. She is dedicated to preparing future nurse practitioners through evidence-based education, innovative teaching strategies, and strong clinical mentorship. Her leadership emphasizes academic excellence, interprofessional collaboration, and the development of practice-ready graduates equipped to meet the evolving needs of healthcare systems and diverse patient populations.

Dr. Bricker’s scholarship focuses on cardiovascular health and population health outcomes. She has received NIH funding through the National Research Service Award (NRSA 1-F31-NR012347) and completed advanced research training through the NIH Summer Genetics Institute and the American Heart Association’s Seminar on Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology. As a Fellow of the American Heart Association, her work contributes to advancing evidence-based strategies to reduce cardiovascular risk and improve health outcomes across populations.

In addition to her academic leadership, Dr. Bricker maintains active clinical practice at UF Health Archer Family Health Care, a nurse-led rural health clinic serving underserved communities in North Central Florida. Her clinical experience spans rural, urban, and free clinic settings, where she has led quality improvement initiatives, supported interprofessional care delivery, and championed equitable access to healthcare.

Across her roles in education, research, leadership, and clinical practice, Dr. Bricker is committed to advancing nursing excellence, strengthening graduate nursing programs, and preparing the next generation of advanced practice nurses.
