Justin J Burley,

Burley is the college’s information security manager, and is responsible for the college’s IT support for faculty, staff and students in Gainesville, Jacksonville and at Archer Family Health Care. Burley provides support for all college academic resources, research and electronic health record. He oversees a three-person IT staff, coordinates communication with customers and third-party service providers, manages purchasing, risk assessment and software deployment, and is responsible for systems administration and Group Policy administration.

BACKGROUND

Burley has been at the University of Florida since 1997. He started at the College of Nursing in the Nursing Resource Center as a lab technician. After graduating high school, he began assisting with the roll out of desktop PCs and email throughout the college. He worked at the Health Science Center IT Center from 1999-2002, the UF College of Dentistry from 2002-06 and then returned to the college in March 2006.
