About Shari Huffman

TEACHING

Huffman teaches in the undergraduate and RN-to-BSN program, as well as clinical courses in the graduate program. She also assists in the skills lab and with inter-professional educational activities and simulations.

RESEARCH

Huffman’s research and scholarship interests include pediatric gastroenterology, quality improvement and clinical nursing education.

Research Profile

Huffman’s area of research interest has focused on Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease, including a pilot study of Vitamin D supplementation in children with IBD. She was the site coordinator for ImproveCareNow, an international QI research database, as well as participating in numerous other research studies during her career in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
