About Rene Love

Teaching

Dr. Love teaches in graduate nursing education. She has taught DNP project and role courses. She also developed telehealth modules and simulation which were embedded in the NP courses at her previous institution

Research

Dr. Love’s research interest and scholarship are within vulnerable populations. In particular, she is interested in resilience within this population. She is also interested in supporting students to have opportunities in building knowledge and training in vulnerable populations.

Service

Dr. Love has provided leadership to national groups working with competencies, curriculum, and scope and standards setting for AACN. She is past president of the International Society of Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing and served as a member at large on the board of the National Organization for Nurse Practitioner Faculty
