Carlos E Medina,

Carlos Medina joined the University of Florida College of Nursing in 2024. He previously worked with a non-profit hospice organization where he saw firsthand the compassion and caring nurses provide. A 30-year veteran journalist with the New York Times Regional Newspaper Group and then Gannett, he has written on numerous subjects, including healthcare, courts, government, public safety and thoroughbred racehorses. At the College of Nursing he serves primarily as a writer sharing the college’s unique stories within the Gator Nursing community, as well as UF stakeholders and media.
