About Rose M Nealis
TEACHING
Dr. Nealis teaches in both the Pediatric Primary Care and the Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner tracks in the graduate program. She also teaches the Advanced Heath Assessment course and the Advanced Pharmacology course based on pharmacogenomics. At the undergraduate level, she teaches in the Child Health Nursing courses and Physical Assessment. Dr. Nealis is active in the DNP program as a chair and mentor. She has chaired 50 DNP projects.
RESEARCH
Dr. Nealis’ research and scholarship interests include clinical outcome data, evidence-based practice and the integration of clinical genetics in the undergraduate and graduate program.
SERVICE
Dr. Nealis is the president of the Alpha Theta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. She has served as a research grant reviewer for the International Society of Nurses in Genetics, and she has served as a reviewer for the Journal of Pediatric Healthcare and Pediatric Nursing.

Dr. Nealis is a board certified pediatric primary and acute care nurse practitioner. She is also a fellow of the NIH Summer Genetics Institute.
