About Brooke S Russo
Teaching
Dr. Russo teaches medical-surgical and fundamental nursing courses in the undergraduate nursing program.
Research
Dr. Russo’s past and current research focuses on supporting nursing student and program success. Her dissertation study focused on investigating the preferred civility promotion strategies of nurse faculty teaching in BSN programs. She is currently involved as a co-investigator in ongoing research of perceived nursing student self-confidence derived from simulation and student perceptions of support from peer mentoring.

Dr. Russo has a clinical background of medical-surgical nursing with an emphasis on cardiac care. She has been working as a nurse educator since 2007 in varied levels of nursing education.
