Patty provides assistance with pre- and post-award research administration activities for all principal investigators in the UF College of Nursing. She helps identify funding opportunities, prepare proposal budgets and ensure compliance with institutional and sponsor directives. She enters applications into federal and non-federal agency systems, reviews and approves proposals prior to submission. She serves as post-award contact and provides expertise and advice to faculty and administrators to ensure that policies and regulations related to research conduct and financial management are followed. Additionally, she provides technical assistance during all phases of research administration, ensures accurate reporting and certification of sponsored research effort. Furthermore, she serves as the college’s liaison with UF entities including Division of Sponsored Programs, Contracts & Grants, Institutional Review Board, Cost Analysis and multiple campus research centers. Background: Prior to her work in the College of Nursing, she was a legal assistant with various law firms primarily working in real estate law. Additionally, she served as the operations manager for a nationally franchised real estate firm managing three offices. She continues to hold an active real estate license.
