The UF College of Nursing hosts a White Coat Ceremony to recognize students as they begin the next phase of their nursing education and prepare for clinical training. The ceremony symbolizes their commitment to the nursing profession and its core values, including compassion, professionalism, integrity and patient-centered care. By receiving their white coats, students are welcomed into the health care community and reminded of the responsibilities they will assume as future nurses serving patients, families and communities.
