Summer 2025 Pinning Ceremony
Friday, August 8, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in the University Auditorium. This traditional ceremony recognizes new nurses to the nursing profession and is only for nursing undergraduates, where students are individually recognized. This is NOT the same as the Commencement (graduation) Ceremony, which is managed by UF’s Director of Commencements.

Doctoral Commencement Ceremony
Friday, August 8, 2025, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Stephen C. O’Connell Center; Gate 4 will open for candidates and escorts at 12:30 p.m.; Gate 1 will open for guests at 12:30 p.m.; no tickets required for this ceremony; regalia is required for this ceremony.
Bachelor’s Commencement Ceremony (aka – Graduation Ceremony)
Friday, August 8, 2025, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.; Stephen C. O’Connell Center; processional at 6:30 p.m.; Gate 4 will open for candidates and escorts at 5:30 p. m.; Gates 1 and 3 will open for guests at 5:30 p. m.; no tickets required for this ceremony; regalia is required for this ceremony.
This is the GRADUATION ceremony where undergraduate degrees are conferred upon the graduates. The summer ceremony includes conferring of degrees and individual recognition. This is NOT the same as the Pinning Ceremony, which is a ceremony for the nursing profession and not a graduation. Nursing undergraduates are encouraged to attend both the Commencement (aka – Graduation) Ceremony and Pinning Ceremony.
