The University of Florida, College of Nursing has partnered with CastleBranch, one of the top ten background check and compliance management companies in the nation, to provide a secure account for time sensitive school immunizations requirements. All students entering UF College of Nursing are required to obtain a new Castlebranch account. This profile must be maintained throughout enrollment, following the immunization requirements set by the College of Nursing Student Health Policy and clinical faculties
Helpful Tip- Use an email frequently checked as Castlebranch will send notification for any rejected submissions as well as 30 day reminders for any immunizations & trainings soon to expire to the account used.
Level 2- Background Clearance
Background check, Fingerprinting, Drug test
The process for background check and health records is consistent for all College of Nursing programs regardless of clinical or campus status.
An unencumbered background check must be maintained throughout the student’s participation in the nursing program. This requirement ensures that students’ background checks will not prevent placement in a clinical setting and/or present difficulty in obtaining professional licensure and/or certification.
The background check, drug test and fingerprinting MUST be completed 2 weeks prior to the first term start date.
