Federal loans and financial aid are available for the fall, spring and summer semesters for undergraduate and graduate students. Scholarship opportunities are available for both undergraduate and DNP students. Doctoral students are also eligible for a number of scholarships and fellowships.

UF Financial Aid
Students should first apply for financial assistance through the UF Financial Affairs.
- Students may receive financial assistance up to the amount of financial need as calculated by UF Financial Affairs.
- Grants are also available through the university.

College of Nursing Scholarships
Scholarships are available during the fall semester and during the spring semester for Accelerated BSN students. The awards are administered through the College of Nursing Office of Student Affairs. All applicants must have completed the equivalent of two semesters of full-time study in nursing to be eligible for scholarships.

Scholarship Application Process
- Scholarships are available during the fall semester for Traditional BSN students and during the spring semester for Accelerated BSN students.

DNP Students
Scholarship Application Process
- Scholarships for the DNP program are available during the fall semester only.
- The awards are administered through the College of Nursing Office of Student Affairs.
- All applicants must have completed the equivalent of two semesters in nursing. Application information will be distributed by the Office of Student Affairs to eligible students, and the scholarships will be disbursed during the fall semester.
- Recipients are chosen based on need from our available scholarships.

Scholarship Application Process
The University of Florida Graduate School lists several opportunities for financial aid from a variety of sources. Please visit the Graduate School website to determine if you are eligible to apply. If you have any questions about the application process, please contact the College of Nursing Office of Student Services.
College of Nursing Scholarship
- Eligibility: Students must be enrolled in classes to be eligible to apply for scholarships.
- Application: The College of Nursing offers a limited number of scholarships annually to qualified students. The application is typically distributed via UF email to all eligible students in April.
College of Nursing Research Assistantships
College of Nursing graduate research assistantships (GRA) are mentored research experiences that require 20 hours of work per week focused on research-related activities. GRA positions are available based on the needs of the departments and research faculty.
Selection/Application Process
A PhD student interested in a GRA position should first confer with their supervisory chair, then inform the Ph.D. Program Director of their interest in the position. Per UF regulations, GRA appointments may not exceed .5 FTE (20 hours / week) per semester.
Supervision and Mentorship
The GRA will be supervised by the research faculty member. The student and faculty member should meet regularly for mentoring sessions.
