UF Health Shands and UF Health Jacksonville provides matching funds to ensure strong financial and professional support for students in the ABSN program.

Work Commitment

How does the work commitment work?

The scholarship recipients must be employed for 36 months at a UF Health facility. During the first year of employment, new graduates participate in the First Licensed Year Transition (FLYT) Program. Nurses then continue their careers within UF Health in their designated specialty for the next 24 months. Students will sign a contract outlining the 36-month total commitment before receiving the scholarship.

When can I apply?

The scholarships are available for students starting in May. Students will receive additional information regarding the application process once they are admitted into the Accelerated BSN program.
