Laptop Requirements


Students must bring a laptop to class to complete course exams and this laptop must meet the computer and technology requirements established by the College. These technology requirements require a battery with at least 2 hours of life. Students must also complete mock exams prior to the actual exam to assure that all computer features are supported by ExamSoft & HESI.

  • During any exam the laptop’s power cord is required.
  • Devices that make noise must be silenced.

 Windows Requirements:

  • https://examsoft.force.com/emcommunity/s/article/Examplify-Minimum-System-Requirements-for-WindowsOperating System: 32-bit and 64-bit Versions of Windows 10. Only genuine, U.S.-English versions of Windows Operating Systems are supported.
  • CPU Processor: 2.0 ghz Intel i3 processor or equivalent
  • RAM: 4GB or higherHard Drive: highest recommended for the operating system or 1GB of available space.
  • Internet connection.
  • Screen Resolution must be 1024×768 or higher.
  • Adobe Reader (Version 9, 11, or DC) is required for exams containing PDF attachments.
  • Administrator level account permissions

Mac Requirements:

  • https://examsoft.force.com/emcommunity/s/article/Examplify-Minimum-System-Requirements-for-Mac-OS-XOS X 10.13 (High Sierra), OS X 10.14 (Mojave), macOS Catalina (10.15).  Only genuine versions of Mac Operating Systems are supported.
  • CPU: Intel processor
  • RAM: 4GB
  • Hard Drive: 1GB or higher available memory
  • Internet connection
  • Screen Resolution must be 1024×768 or higher.
  • Adobe Reader (Version 10 or 11) is required for exams containing PDF attachments.
  • Administrator level account permissions
