Scholarships – Thank-A-Donor

Congratulations on your scholarship award! Each recipient’s scholarship was provided by the generosity of alumni and friends of the UF College of Nursing. It is very important that we make the best impression possible and show our appreciation for our donors’ generosity, so we may continue to cultivate a positive experience that will allow for future students to benefit as well. Therefore, the CON Office of Advancement is creating a thank you postcard to send to the donor of your scholarship, on your behalf. To complete this process, we are requiring each scholarship recipient to complete and submit the form below within two weeks following their award notification email, to show your appreciation for the generosity of the donor who sponsors your award. The POSTCARD message should be approximately 225 words in length. If you have been requested to submit a LETTER instead of a postcard, please still submit using the form below, but make sure the message is at least 500 words in length.

Please note: there will be some scholarships that we do not collect thank you messages from, as there is not a living donor to receive the message.

  Enter three paragraphs expressing your message of appreciation to the donor of your scholarship. Think as if you have a personalized piece of stationary in front of you. Ideas of what to include: acknowledge the support from their fund by name; how this support impacts you; why you chose nursing; your nursing aspirations; feelings of appreciation for their kindness/belief in you/generosity; say "thank you." Around 225 words are suggested to fit properly on the postcard. Do not include a salutation or signature block in either your word count or this box, as we will already have these formatted separately.
