Jay Ortiz,

Mr. Ortiz is the Interim Chief of Staff for the College of Nursing, where he plays a crucial role in overseeing and prioritizing strategic business initiatives. He acts as Dean Henderson’s strategic partner, expertly managing special projects and providing support and oversight.

BACKGROUND

Mr. Ortiz has been employed with UF since 2010. His previous employment was in the College of Pharmacy (2010-2019) where he served as the assistant to the three Associate Deans in the Dean’s Office.
